Know Your Pharmacy by the Numbers: A Tour of medipharma24

You can run a pharmacy for years and still not be able to answer three questions: What is actually on my shelves? Who do I owe, and who owes me? And after everything — am I actually making money? medipharma24 was built so those three answers are always one screen away.

Most pharmacy software stops at billing. It prints the customer’s invoice, and everything after that — the stock register, the supplier khata, the expiry check, the “how did we do this month” — stays in notebooks and in your head. That works until the shop gets busy, a second counter opens, or you take a week off.

medipharma24 is a complete pharmacy management system: point-of-sale billing, batch-level inventory with expiry tracking, purchases and supplier dues, customer dues, and — the part that sets it apart — a real accounting system underneath, so every sale, purchase, return, and payment lands in proper books automatically. Here’s a walk through it, the way an owner uses it.

Start the day on the dashboard

One screen with the day at a glance — sales, purchases, dues, and what needs attention — before you’ve had your tea.

The medipharma24 dashboard The owner’s morning view: cash in hand, the sales & purchase trend, and inventory alerts for stock that needs attention.

Billing that keeps up with the counter

The sales screen is built for a busy counter: search by product, brand, or generic name, batch and expiry picked automatically, discounts and VAT handled, and split payments — part cash, part card or mobile — in one invoice. If the customer doesn’t pay everything today, the rest is recorded as a due against their name, not on a slip of paper.

Making a sale at the POS The billing counter: search, cart, discount, and split payment in one screen — with drawer sessions, so each shift’s cash is counted against what the till says it should hold.

Every invoice is also a stock movement and an accounting entry. Nobody types anything twice.

Stock you can trust, batch by batch

Products are tracked at the batch level — quantity, cost, and expiry date per batch, not just one number per medicine. The product list shows what you have; the stock reports show what it’s worth.

The product list The full catalog — over 26,000 medicines with strengths, pack sizes, and prices — searchable in a keystroke.

Expiry is the silent thief in every pharmacy, so it gets its own screen: what has expired and what is about to, so it can be returned to the supplier while it still has value instead of being discovered dead on the shelf.

Tracking expiring stock Month by month: how many products expire, how many units, and what that stock is worth.

When the physical count and the register disagree — it happens in every shop — a stock adjustment records the difference honestly, and the books are corrected with it.

Purchases and the supplier khata, per invoice

Purchase entry mirrors the supplier’s memo: items, batches, quantities, bonuses, discounts. What you don’t pay today becomes a due — tracked per invoice, not as one blurry total. When you hand the supplier’s representative a payment, you settle specific invoices, the oldest first, exactly the way you’d tick them off on paper.

Recording a purchase

At any moment, the supplier balance report shows exactly where you stand with every company — and because customer dues are tracked the same way, the money owed to you is just as visible.

Supplier dues at a glance Purchase dues, payments made, and the payable balance per supplier. (Contact numbers blurred for this post.)

Customer dues at a glance The other side of the khata: what customers owe you, per customer.

Reports for every question you actually ask

Daily sales for the evening close. Sales by product, by company, by generic, by customer for the slow-moving-stock question. Purchase and return reports for the supplier negotiation. Stock reports for the bank or the partner meeting. Each one filterable by date and shop, each one exportable.

The part most pharmacy software skips: real profit

Sales are not profit. Software that only shows you sales totals leaves the most important number to guesswork.

Under medipharma24 there is a full double-entry accounting system — the same discipline an accountant would keep, maintained automatically. Every sale records its cost of goods, every purchase feeds inventory value, every expense and due payment posts to the right head. You never see a journal entry unless you want to; you see the results:

  • Profit & Loss — real profit for any period: sales minus the actual cost of the medicines sold, minus expenses. Not a guess.

Profit & Loss for the period Revenue, less discounts, less the real cost of goods sold, less expenses — down to a bottom line you can trust.

  • Balance Sheet — what the business owns and owes: stock value, cash and bank, customer dues, supplier dues, all in one statement.

The balance sheet Assets equal liabilities plus equity — always, automatically.

Month-end closing, opening balances for shops moving in from paper books, and a trial balance that always balances — it’s there when you, your accountant, or the bank asks.

Grows with you: branches, staff, and control

medipharma24 is multi-shop from the ground up. Add a second branch and see each shop’s — and the combined — picture. Staff accounts come with roles and permissions: a salesperson can bill but not see profit; a manager can run one branch but not touch another; you see everything. Sensitive actions stay with the people you’ve explicitly trusted.

Fits your shop, in your language

Per-shop settings adapt the system to how your pharmacy works — VAT behaviour, invoice preferences, stock rules like opening-inventory entry — without touching other branches. And the entire interface works in Bangla and English, switchable per user, so everyone at the counter is comfortable.

See it yourself

The fastest way to judge a system is to click around it. medipharma24 has a try-demo mode that sets up a complete sample pharmacy — products, stock, sales, dues, books — so you can explore every screen above with realistic data before touching your own.

Your shelves, your dues, and your real profit — one system, one login, answers one screen away.
